Notable rivers of Muradnagar are Gomti and Buri.

 

The length of Gumti is 130 kilometers. 122 meters. It flows through Sadar, Burichang, Brahmanpara, Debidwar, Muradnagar of Comilla and joins Meghna with Daudkandi. At one time this river was the main means of communication in Muradnagar upazila. Even today, goods are transported from one place to another through the Gumti river on a limited scale. Moreover, this Gomti Muradnagar, that is, Comilla, was sad because there were no barriers. At present agriculture is done by the water of this Gumti river. In addition, many fish are found in this river.
