Area: 339.00 sq. Km. Location: Muradnagar Upazila is an important upazila of Comilla district, situated between 23 ° 306 to 23 ° 48 north latitude and 90 ° 528 to 91 ° 048 east longitude. It is bounded by nabinagar upazila on the north, chandina and devidwar upazilas on the south, devidwar, brahmanpara and kasba upazilas on the east, daudkandi, homna and bancharampur upazilas on the west. The population of this upazila is 48060 (of which 235308 are males and 23273 are females). Muradnagar Thana was formed in 1857 and it was turned into an upazila in 1983.
