The total number of hat bazaars in Muradnagar is about 60; Among them Ramchandrapur Bazar, Kompaniganj Bazar, Mochagarh Bazar, Tonki Bazar, Chapitla Bazar, Bakhrabad Bazar, Pipariya Hat etc. are notable. William Hunter's Statistical Account of Bengal mentions the Ramchandrapur market as the famous rice export center of the region.
Muradnagar has about 1200 looms, 100 goldsmith shops, innumerable blacksmith shops, sewing houses etc.
